At PJ Interiors, we’re looking for a skilled Joiner to join our team of experts. If you have a passion for craftsmanship and a strong background in joinery, we’d love to have you on board to work on exciting projects across various sectors.
About the Role:
As a Joiner, you will be responsible for producing, fitting, and installing a wide range of wooden fixtures and fittings. You’ll work across various projects, from retail fit-outs to bespoke leisure and residential builds, ensuring every piece of work is completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install wooden structures, fittings, and furniture as per project specifications.
- Work with a variety of materials including timber, MDF, and plywood.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood to precise measurements.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and other wooden structures.
- Work closely with site managers and other trades to ensure the smooth running of the project.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure the finish meets both company standards and client expectations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure a tidy work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Joiner in commercial or residential fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project requirements.
- A valid CSCS card (preferred).
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Joinery (preferred).
- A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
